An Incr-EDIB-le Choice

Tim is a product of public education, and loves being an educator. Tim's first job after earning his Bachelor Degree in Biology at Binghamton University (SUNY) was as a substitute teacher back in his own school district (Wappinger Central Schools  in upstate NY).  While an undergraduate, Tim was very active as a community leader, a volunteer Paramedic, and was a volunteer instructor, teacher, educator for all of the Safety Services Programs including Water Safety, First Aid, and CPR for the American Red Cross.  After moving to Phoenix, Arizona, Tim earned an MPA in Public Policy from Arizona State University (ASU), focusing on Education Policy, and earning his teacher's certification.  In Phoenix, Tim was appointed by the Mayor to the Phoenix Excellence In Education Commission, where he worked on neighborhood empowerment, engaging the parents of ESL students, working with 30 school districts (representing over 300 schools) to introduce Total Quality Management, and fostering Business-School partnerships on curriculum development. Tim was recruited from ASU to work for the Pennsylvania General Assembly bipartisan bicameral oversight committee as an analyst to review school districts in 67 counties to evaluate the Department of Education's policies on truancy, dropout, pregnancy, and delinquency.  Tim also taught Environmental Science and Chemistry as an adjunct with Harrisburg Area Community College, before completing law school at the University of Baltimore and opening his immigration law practice in Rockville 20 years ago.  Since 2014, Tim has worked as outside General Counsel to BAU International University, a licensed and accredited university offering graduate MBA programs and ESL programs in Washington, DC.
